Meet Dr. Omar Villavicencio
Dr. Omar X. Villavicencio, DDS was born and raised in Miami and graduated from Miami Springs Senior High School. He earned degrees in Finance and International Business from FIU, spent seven years in retail management, and later returned to FIU for pre-medical studies.
After earning his DDS from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2014, he opened People First Dentistry in December 2020 to build an independent, transparent, patient-centered dental office. He has been married since 2002 and has two children.

Will I receive a cleaning during my first visit?
For patients who have not been diagnosed with periodontal disease, a routine dental cleaning can usually be completed during the initial new patient appointment. If periodontal treatment or additional care is needed, Dr. Omar Villavicencio will explain the findings and recommend the appropriate treatment before a cleaning is performed.
Do you offer emergency dental appointments?
People First Dentistry offers emergency dental appointments when available. The emergency exam fee is $65 and includes necessary diagnostic X-rays, including CBCT / 3D CT imaging when clinically indicated. Recommended treatment is discussed separately before care begins.
