What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit at People First Dentistry is designed to give Dr. Omar Villavicencio time to understand your concerns, evaluate your oral health, and explain your options clearly before any treatment begins.
During your visit, we may take necessary digital X-rays or 3D imaging when clinically indicated, complete a comprehensive exam, review your dental history, and discuss your goals. Dr. Omar will explain his findings, answer your questions, and review treatment options, timing, and costs before care begins.
For patients who have not been diagnosed with periodontal disease, a routine dental cleaning can usually be completed during the initial new patient appointment. If Dr. Omar Villavicencio determines that periodontal treatment or additional diagnostic care is needed first, he will explain the findings, discuss your options, and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan before proceeding.
As an independently owned Miami dental office, People First Dentistry focuses on patient-first recommendations, transparent communication, and treatment planning based on your needs — not corporate production goals.
When appropriate, same-day treatment may be available, but only after your diagnosis, options, and costs have been reviewed with you.
Before Your Visit

During Your Visit
We review your health history, take needed X-rays, complete an exam, and explain findings in plain language.
After Your Exam
Dr. Villavicencio will discuss treatment options and help you understand the next best step for your oral health.

You may or may not receive a cleaning at the first visit depending on your oral health needs and the type of care recommended.
If you have recent dental records, you can ask your previous office to send them before your appointment.
